Manhattanhenge

excited - tomorrow I am walking to Central Park after work - I should get some good views. Maybe I'll remember a camera.

15 year college reunion starts tomorrow night. Sad to learn that one of my good friends does not feel good enough about herself to come out for many things. And another friend won't attend until she thinks she's acheived enough. I don't even know what that means.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am short a flash drive. That's an unsettling feeling. It's encrypted, so I don't feel vulnerable on that front, but it's the flash drive I run email from, so I want it back now. I hope it's just at home.

Guy at work introduced me to the crack that is pivot tables in Excel. Oops. This could be a timesuck.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

As a fast food lover, here is some scary shit. [link]

Although it does offer alternatives of a fast food nature.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

As I've recently griped on the Literary thread, British authors of a certain generation are prone to included bits of untranslated French in their text, apparently assuming that any properly educated person can read them. Can I possibly get a translation on these three that I encountered this morning? (I may be missing an accent or two here or there.)

megan, please let me know if I'm overdoing the translation requests. I'm really grateful that you're helping so much with my WIP, and the stuff above I don't even need. It's just a little maddening to stumble across these things and have some idea from the English context what they're saying, but not to KNOW.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

third row from bottom, 3rd from left. does the 5th from left look less orangey?

msbelle, Makeup Alley's reviews of the color say it's blue-based red, so it shouldn't go orangey on you.

Man, I wish Revlon still made Revlon Red. *grumps*
