Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

move out and draw fire

We planned our first big trip to Home Depot carefully, because of the extra 10% you get off the first time you use the credit card.

good call! Never having been homeowners, we need everything. Including serious renovation tools, as we are going to have to knock a bunch of walls out. I think we're going to hire a professional to do the bathrooms, though.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Kristin, I'm very glad you decided to go to the ER last night - trouble breathing is NOT something you want to mess with! (And also woo-hoo for the invention of the nebulizer. When I was an asthmatic little baby, the only thing they could do was give me a shot of adrenaline and hope for the best...I mean, obviously I survived, but I spent a LOT of time in the hospital growing up.)

Trapeze lessons, fun!

I know this is from way back, but...7 is a late dinner? Wow - we usually eat around 8:30, and I've never thought of it as particularly late. (Except the baby, who eats dinner at 6 so he can go to bed at 7:30.) I'm not honestly sure what we'll do when he's old enough to be sharing the same food with us - probably start eating closer to 6:30-7 and moving his bedtime to 8. When I'll get to cook dinner I have no idea. Maybe that will finally be the year I buy a crock pot.

I'm Googling for kayak package trips on the Hudson and Delaware rivers. Obviously D's too young but maybe my sister could babysit for a weekend while DH and I go kayaking. It's that time of year where I need OUTDOOR THINGS.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Maybe that will finally be the year I buy a crock pot.

I try to convince new mom's to add them to their baby registry.

Kristin, I am so glad that you went and are at the hospital. Take care my honey.

So my interview is today at 11am (8am board time), although I am feeling horrible about the timing. Boss's Other Grandfather - the one who started the construction business that paved the way for Boss to start his two companies - passed away last night. I feel horrible, but I know that I have to do what's best for me and my family and hopefully, this interview will be it.

health~ma Kristin! I wish you many of those warm blankets and speedy recovery.

heart~ma Nicole!

house~ma Raq!

Jessica - maybe a little far afield, but check out the Brandywine too - there are a bunch of kid-friendly things that are canoe-and-tubing related. Very pretty & lots of green. plus the added benefit of some good art (Wyeth) and Simon Pearce if you like that.

you are up awfully late Ms. Bug - or are you still in Kansas?

Nope. I was just getting home from an extra fun conversation with my parents. I was trying to unwind a bit before heading to bed.

So it looks like they may be admitting me to the hospital tonight. 25 to 30% of my right lung is blocked. The x-ray was scary. I'm being nebbed now and already have an IV port installed. The local pulminologist is coming in to assess me in a couple of hours. This is rapidly becoming kind of scary.

{{{Kristin}}} Honey! I’m so sorry! I’m glad they’re taking it seriously, though. Poor you!

So very true! Also, ~ma!

I'm getting the pig!

Thanks for the ~ma!

Aimee, what Vortex said. You have your sanity and your family to think about and that trumps feeling badly for the bad stuff that Butthead Boss is currently dealing with. Besides, he couldn't be bothered to play nice when your sister was going through lots of scary health stuff, so I say screw him.

Good luck at the interview!

coffee (though not enough - thx gutter guys! (but yay, no more oh-yeah, tourists stop here to take photos of the waterfall-house effect)):

Google artist themes include stray bits of manga! That said, I'm running Akira AIFG. Buh-bye sunrise/sunset. Loved ya, but... New! Shiny!
