[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

The vet says it could be one of three kind of tumors. One of the three is "extremely difficult to treat" and would likely require a specialist surgeon, and even then the prognosis would not be great. The other two are more treatable. I will know more about today's surgery after 2. Probably won't get official biopsy results on the tumor until Friday. It's starting to hit me how serious this is. Have we mentioned how much we hate cancer lately? Because I'm really torn up about the fact that I didn't notice this until it might be too bad to fully remove.

OMG, the Splendid Table is doing a story about Tater Tots.

Apparently they were developed from cattle feed.

Apparently they were developed from cattle feed.

But very tasty cattle feed!

Kristin, my cats are catloafing in Byron's direction, sending good kitty vibes.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

They would feed cows potatoes? Or some other feed with tot technology?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Lucky cattle.

Lucky Byron and Kristin, too, if my crossed fingers have anything to say about it.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I wish the best possible outcome for Byron.

A very happy day for the wonderful adorable Laura and her DH.

I had a good weekend and got a lot of errands done. Got up at 5am today to take the niece to the airport. It's good practice, as I am doing the same tomorrow to get myself to the airport for a trip to Minneapolis.

One very important lesson form this weekend: if you are trying to sell a home gym machine to a couple, do NOT ignore the wife completely for the whole pitch until you say "Some people who are overweight--" and then turn and stare meaningfully at her as you finish your sentence "are afraid of trying a machine like this." No sale for you!

Tots are also indigenous to the Pacific Northwest.

Mostly lurking...

Hang in there, Kristin.

I quit buying tater tots several years ago, because I would eat them 5 times a day if I could. So, if they're not in the house, I don't eat them for every meal and then get mad when they're gone in a day. I just can't be rational about tater tots. And my roommate in Chicago just didn't get the tater tot love and was SO sick of them.
