Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

One of the bosses felt she was "distant."

Even if she was.... how is that a firing offense? WTF! Assholes!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Even if she was.... how is that a firing offense? WTF! Assholes!

Sadly, I'm thinking the reason it was so soon after she got hired was so she wasn't done with some sort of trial period. I know my company has a 90 day window where if things aren't working out, they can let somebody go with no reason other than "didn't work out".

I can't imagine "distant" being that kind of a dealbreaker, though. Who the fuck was she working for anyway - Ken Scorpio?

California's "at-will." She was an executive assistant. The executives have a grotesque sense of entitlement about how they will be served.

{{JZ}} I hope this turns out to be a blessing in disguise (and that that boss gets an infection in a uncomfortable place).

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yep, my office has this. (And What Hec Said about CA having "at will" employment.)
