Sadly, I'm thinking the reason it was so soon after she got hired was so she wasn't done with some sort of trial period. I know my company has a 90 day window where if things aren't working out, they can let somebody go with no reason other than "didn't work out".
Yep, my office has this. (And What Hec Said about CA having "at will" employment.)
What the fucking fuck? And after all the stress and hoops she went through to
take
that job?

Aw, shit JZ! That sucks!
I know what a blow that can be. I got fired from that one job (that I instantly hated) after three DAYS and it felt like a gut punch...even though I was already searching for another job.
You have my sympathies.
...
If you wanted to...I would never encourage this...but if you were to say, drop a name and an address, there might be a couple guys willing to do some "executive re-training" with some axe handles for the price of a case of beer...

Now I'm picturing the scene in Repo Man where the other repo guys force Otto to tell him who beat him up and he sends him to his former boss' house instead.

I just hope they don't need any construction done in the area any time soon. You know, for their sakes.
If I could afford it, I'd be booking a flight for some executive crotch-kicking and packing all of my pointy-toed shoes.

I can't believe it. Too distant?! Sheesh.
I hope you get something much better super-soon, in a place where they'll respect professionalism and boundaries. Grr.
I have spent all day making stupid little mistakes. I am ready to go home now.
Lord, Hec, that's AWFUL. Fuck them. On to better things. Or at least different things.
