'Beneath You'

The Minearverse 6: Fiery Thread of Death

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls, The Inside and Drive), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath. Oh, and help us get Terriers dvds!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

That is fantastic. Man, I still get emotional thinking of that arc when it aired. It was really some of the best storytelling that they ever did.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just finished a rewatch of Wonderfalls. I miss that show.

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

I miss it too. I re-watched it with my boyfriend several months ago, and he really enjoyed it as well.

I was shocked when I was looking up Arlene from True Blood and realized she'd played the nun in Wound-Up Penguin!

Compassionately intolerant

That thing I said about Brenda keeping me hanging on with GH?

Yeah, that era ended today.

Using that character to bring back the Franco arc? Ptui!

So. After faking his own death because he's a thousand percent obsessed with Jason, the psycho is going to switch his attention to Sonny? riiiiiight.

Also! Much as I love to see actual, quality acting happening is soaps, I have to say the actress playing Lisa is too good to make that storyline enjoyable. She could easily succeed Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction Roman Numeral, but is far too realistically creepy on GH. It's painful to watch.

And another thing! As long as I have my cantankerous clogs on...let me stomp my feet over the Carly/Brook Lynn debacle. I love a conniving vixen as much as the next guy, but now they are having Carly come off as infinitely more stupid than ever before. I like my crazy with an unhealthy dose of smart thankyewverymuch.

Okay. How awesome must my life be if I have time to rant about a soap opera like this? Pretty awesome, that's how much!

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Count me in with the Wonderfalls-missing. Also? The theme song is my number 1 most played song, according to iTunes.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I keep trying to get my new housemates to watch Wonderfalls. We just finished Slings & Arrows.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

This made me want to go quote hunting. My favorite so far

Karen: Sharon, go talk to your father. You're his favorite.
[Sharon leaves the kitchen]
Aaron: I thought I was his favorite.
Karen: We don't have favorites.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I can't even remember what made me think of this the other day, nor do I remember the full quote, but "Are you having a 'sode?"

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

And this one

Jaye: Just try to get Aaron out.
Sharon: He's already out
Jaye: Bastard! He sang?
Sharon: No, you admitted to driving the car.
Jaye: Oohh, I sang...
Sharon: There are like six Law and Orders on the air now, how have you not seen one of them?
