Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

'Just Rewards (2)'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

She seemed very Renfieldish, but she's actually a vampire, so I don't know what the deal is supposed to be.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Everything I've read about JMallozzi's response to the fanbase has made me dislike him and miss showrunners like Tim and John Rogers and even almost cranky Joss.

At least they backed off calling their black guy Psycho. Maybe they're capable of learning? Probably not complex lessons, and probably not in time.

I don't think they're capable of learning, but I do think their worst excesses of bad taste can be held somewhat in check by network suits. Apparently so many people complained about the loaded issues in character descriptions and spoiler plot points that someone with real power at SciFi or MGM took notice and said "Fix this, NOW." I suspect TPTB at Bridge Studios will be resentful of getting their wrists slapped and passive aggressively whinge about their "vision" being tampered with, but hopefully people with an eye on the bottom line will be able to prevent the more glaring racist depictions and rapetastic clueless middle-aged white man fantasies.

I'm still astounded that the showrunners of the SG franchise are so bad about tokenism and cliches that I'm actually cheering for network interference from the people who brought us Mansquito.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Evidently there's not only a Riverworld series coming from Psiffy, but its producer is !Robert!Hewitt!Wolfe!!! and it's going to star Tahmoh Pennikett?! Am I the last to hear about this or something?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Isn't Tahmoh kinda busy? ::googles::

Nevermind. Miniseries, already finished. Also featuring Alan Cumming and Peter Wingfield. Why is IO9 citing 24 for Peter Wingfield? Silly rabbits.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Peter Wingfield on my television again! Perhaps I shall pretend he is Methos pretending to be Sir Richard Burton. Theodosia, you're not the last to hear about it: I was. Because this is where I heard about it, just now.

God, I hope this is good. Because they could fuck it up so, so badly.

I put a lot of faith in Wolfe, seriously. For instance, he was on the first season of Andromeda, and some of the best seasons of DS9. So fingers crossed.

Agreeing with Consuela's rantage... I have complete faith that SGU will be offensive and unwatchable.

I remember Our Herrick from another series, but I loved Adrian Lester in the BH pilot.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Defying Gravity: Is the European woman's secret that she used to be a man? Is Pukey Paula's that she killed a dog? And two of them don't even get any hallucinations? That seems unfair.

Art Crawl!!!

Oh, I thought that too - but why would you see yourself? And did the folks at base seem to be suggesting that some alien is sending the hallucinations?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Yes, Beta is sending the hallucinations.

I'm not sure why Beta picks some people and not others because you'd think nearly everyone would have a bad incident or set of interactions that could torment them for life.
