'Safe'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

When ARE we getting Sarah Jane again?

All is well that ends in pizza.

I think Siffy bought the USAian rights.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Oh another point. Sarah Jane seems to save the day more often than Torchwood, more successfully and with fewer (though not zero) avoidable casualties. So in spite of hsi background Captain Jack is NOT the best one for the job.

I get the feeling that if Sarah Jane was Captain Jack's boss professionally, things would have worked out better. (Not artistically, very different series, but in terms of day saving. Umm and maybe in other ways too. In sum if the series were merged a lot imaginary people would be alive, two imaginary people would be happier, but the real people in the audience would have been totally miserable.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't see Sarah Jane leading a group of adults into danger all the time, though.

They do different things, and she does it on a kids show, so there are fewer casualties.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Yeah, I think there's way too much meta cluttering things to say that Sarah Jane is a better boss. If Torchwood were The Captain Jack Adventures, his job performance would greatly improve.

Art Crawl!!!

Hey, the Eureka premiere did quite well ratings wise - it beat ABC in the 25-54 demo.

25-54 - that seems like an odd grouping, doesn't it?

Compassionately intolerant

Following ita's link in Movies, Screen Rant suggests there will be a Torchwood panel at Comic-Con on Sunday. Ostensibly, 'kid's day'...which is weird, except that the Dr. Who panel is that day as well.

I'm sure everyone already knew this but me.

Makes me want to be a fly on the wall (and therefore out of reach of the crushing and potentially irritated crowd) to hear about the future of the show, if any.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I don't think that Sarah Jane would be a good boss . She's a decent leader, but I'm not sure about boss. She's too much of a loner. She works well with children, but I don't think that she would work well with adults.

edited to make SJ a solitary person, not a car.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ostensibly, 'kid's day'

It's kids' day because there are a lot of kid-friendly panels specifically on that day.
