When does Sarah Jane S2 reach? I think I can wait for that, eagerly.
'The Message'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I'm starting to think maybe I don't want to watch TW at all, despite the hotness.
Up to you, but I think it well worth watching, and not just for the hotness. Mixed but some really great characterizations. Also as to day saving. Day is not always saved (see faeries) and when the day is saved, it seems quite often with unnecessary deaths and brutality. Routinely day late, and dollar short. And yet that is part of the charm. Not the A team in space. Highly flawed human institutions and highly flawed people doing the best they can.
I must now shout in whitefont about the season finale:
!!! runs off to ahem...
When ARE we getting Sarah Jane again?
I think Siffy bought the USAian rights.
Oh another point. Sarah Jane seems to save the day more often than Torchwood, more successfully and with fewer (though not zero) avoidable casualties. So in spite of hsi background Captain Jack is NOT the best one for the job.
I get the feeling that if Sarah Jane was Captain Jack's boss professionally, things would have worked out better. (Not artistically, very different series, but in terms of day saving. Umm and maybe in other ways too. In sum if the series were merged a lot imaginary people would be alive, two imaginary people would be happier, but the real people in the audience would have been totally miserable.)
I can't see Sarah Jane leading a group of adults into danger all the time, though.
They do different things, and she does it on a kids show, so there are fewer casualties.
Yeah, I think there's way too much meta cluttering things to say that Sarah Jane is a better boss. If Torchwood were The Captain Jack Adventures, his job performance would greatly improve.
Hey, the Eureka premiere did quite well ratings wise - it beat ABC in the 25-54 demo.
25-54 - that seems like an odd grouping, doesn't it?
