'Underneath'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Adama stole that line from Angel.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I probably shouldn't ask, but what was the point, within the context of this ep, of the scene with Lee and the pidgeon? Is it yet another instance of "we have NO IDEA what to do with Lee but he is contractually obligated to have a certain amount of screentime"?

My other thought was that they picking up that horrid story from Black Market, and that scene was after his girlfriend and baby left him.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I think the Lee scene will be explained in the latter 2 parts. They are setting something up.

I felt similarly with the Anders scene. A lot of these things have to be better in context. Unless of course the writers were going for something like: "see how Lee deals with a challenging situation before genocide, now look."

Someone suggested that he killed Laura's family.

Art Crawl!!!

Oh, that's an interesting thought. Because all of those scenes, while interesting to a degree didn't really fit in.

I'm happy that we're going to get some pretty space battles in our last two hours.

Also - thank goodness that they got everyone to volunteer: without Racetrack and Skulls (not! dead) - how do they expect to find anything?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I don't think he killed Laura's family because the driver was in stable condition at the hospital. I think she would have remembered that upon meeting him.

Art Crawl!!!

Oh, that's right. And clearly, if he came home afterwards he probably wouldn't still be drunk.

I thought Lee's condition was the result of him learning about his brother's death.
