Joyce: You don't think it's too obvious? I think I look like I have a cat on my head. Buffy: But a very well groomed cat. Joyce: Well that's a comfort.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I forget, beyond the final fifth cylon, was there another cylon still left to be revealed?

Either way, I'm so glad they got the FF out of the way off the bat.

I just had a sad thought reading over on TWoP: with Leoben so freaked over Kara, I doubt we'll see much of him anymore. I'm still trying to wipe the taste of the second X-Files movie out of my brain.

Art Crawl!!!

Officially, there are 12 cylons but I could swear that there are theories about a possible 13th cylon - that could be Starbuck. . . because what the hell is she?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

My first thought after the reveal of the cylon inhabitants of Earth was that the follow through is: if the inhabitants of Earth spread out to the other colonies, then by default all the colonies are populated by Cylon decendants of those that escaped Earth. Everyone is a Cylon. But the episode never hit on that. But I'm also really really fuzzy on my BSG lore.

Also, what the hell with finally making a character interesting (again) only to kill her? Why does character death bring out the good writing and the tight focus?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Yeah, I thought they were saying basically that we're all Cylons (those of us that live on Earth). I told DW, "You're a frakkin toaster!"

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

So, if the "final five" have memories of being alive on Earth previously, then... were they the only ones? If the entire colony, or at least large pockets of it, were Cylon, then were there only five forms? Or were there more, that we haven't met yet? Or were there iterations of the other forms we've already met, and they just don't have any memory of it?

All is well that ends in pizza.

So, how about that Smallville?

Compassionately intolerant

I'm low on lore too, but it seemed pretty blatant that the truth will be that the problem isn't that there is no Earth, but that there are no humans.

Which makes Adama's speech even more poignant.

What do you decide to be when you find out you aren't you? That shit is deep.

It also screams of Planet of the Apes and Pogo. "We have seen the face of the enemy and it is us."

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am annoyed that I got spoiled by the comments about the webisodes on hulu! I tried to write it off, but the comment was right. Reminds me of the time when I was spoiled for Tara's death by imdb (it put an end date of the actress's time on the show before they showed her death.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It didn't bring me to the conclusion that there are no humans, otherwise there wouldn't be a human/Cylon test. Now, how come there were Cylons millenia ago I don't get. But I expect that will come out in time.
