The whole stupidity of it made me not care that Charlie's wife died. Bad show.
Maybe Charlie can die next. And then Sarah. And then John.
Derek can lead the fight against Skynet.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

yeah...that whole Charlie thing was stupid. i would totally watch The Derek Reese Chronicles.
what's the final line-up going to be for SCC and Heroes?
Because I can't take three consecutive hours, let alone two, of this agony.
If it was mind-numbing, that would be one thing, because then my eyeballs and my wrists wouldn't hurt so much from all the rolling and waving, but this stupidity piled on top of stupidity is sheer torture. The kind where there's never actually enough pain or blood loss to pass out.
Next week I'll make sure to have Jim and Jack with me.
I took one for the team and watched "Merlin" last night. Actually, it wasn't that bad, and the kids playing Merlin and Arthur both have lots of potential. But if anything it was a little... dull, and I found myself zooming through a couple of passages.
Maybe it will pick up a bit over the next few weeks. And maybe ASH will revert back from cardboard to flesh and blood.
How was Guinevere?
I liked Charlie's wife, even though I never did learn her name. She reacted just about the way I'd feel a real person would if confronted with REAL killer androids from the future and being strapped to a bomb and then have a cellular antenna fall on me, et cetera. Even though she'd have been infinitely better off to have stayed behind with Charlie and not bleed out in a bumpy van ride.
I give the producers credit for trying to come up with a reason that Cromartie just didn't kill Sarah et al straight off. But since he DID have enough explosive to bring down an antenna, why not set up the chair with the obvious trigger as he did, and then a secondary trigger leading to the real explosive under the floorboards set to go off when weight is off the chair?
It's a sad day when even I can outthink a killer android.
I didn't have a problem with Sarah doing what she did given that (a) she'd left Charlie originally to keep him out of this sort of thing and (b) it was John's fault that Charlie got dragged into it.
Charlie forgetting the basics of his EMT work? That I do have a problem with, even under the stress he was under. Oh well. I hope this is just a bad patch instead of a symptom for the show.
I think that Charlie had to roll the dice here, even though he knew that the trip would be bad. He knew that Sarah's priority was protecting John, and he couldn't count on her sending someone back for them. She might forget, get killed, be on the run, etc.
How was Guinevere?
Is that the ex-bosses niece? I'm afraid I thought she was a bit nondescript, to be honest. Pleasant enough, but not the great beauty and consort of legend. Not yet, anyway.
I kinda gave Charlie a bit of slack. Okay he's an EMT but the killer androids from the future and the whole kidnapping thing has got to make one flustered.
