A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
TW 2.4: I agree with ita. Thanks for putting your finger on what's been bothering me about
all the relationship stuff. Though judging by the preview there might be some answers in next episode. Fortunately there's another cracking actor playing the AlienOfTheWeek - Bryan Dick (of "Bleak House" and "Master & Commander", amongst other things).
On "Ashes to Ashes" I agree with P-C:
I'm not sure what I think about it yet. Mostly, it makes me miss Life on Mars.
I had the feeling that
they weren't too sure about the tone themselves, though it settled down a bit towards the end, so I hope it will continue to do so over the next few episodes. Also, Keeley Hawes got on my nerves. And did they have to lay on the sexual attraction and the period bits with a trowel...?
No faulting
Gene and Chris and Ray, of course, and I like the new WPC. And I also liked the way they played with some of the LoM tropes (having Sam's voiceover read by Molly at the beginning, for example).
I wonder what happened to
Annie? She wasn't mentioned at all. Maybe she'll show up again? And Sam's body was never found. Why does that make me think of The Master?
The main difference to LoM, for me, is that while I only vaguely remember 1973, I remember 1981 only too well.
I've finally caught up with the new thread, and it's all white font! ::wails::
Not that I'm not going to watch the episode in all good time, but I'll have to wait to participate.
What is ASHES TO ASHES (heh, typed ASSES first) again?
it's the sister show to Life on Mars.
I tried aheming Ashes to Ashes last night, but it wasn't cooperating.
Victor Garber, unsurprisingly, is being wasted in Eli Stone. The pilot was cute enough, but last night's episode was clunky with extra clunk.

Mine's going okay now -- don't know if you're in a position to try to restart it.
So TV and I were on a break for a while. Apparently we're back together. Huh.
I saw the first episode of Eli Stone, and it made me angry on a surprising number of levels. It seemed like a Hallmark TV movie written by Deepak Chopra.
The second episode -- and I hope I'm not spoiling anything here -- taught me that illegal immigration is a complex issue.

Crap. Does that mean I have to pay attention to something other than hairstyles this election?

Well Romney (aka Guy Smiley) dropping out took THE HAIR out of the election, so there's less of that pay attention to.
