Welcome back, dude. Good to see you.
'Conviction (1)'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
just watched
ouch
well done.
And Stark could come back ( just doing the handwave space-time continuum dance), but I am guessing it will happen only if the stars align properly. and there was a time when the Allyson/jack thing was what I wanted, but i seem to be past that.
I never saw the house holmes thing. D'uh
Windsparrow and I just watched, too.
Nice work this ep CF.
Kind of a gut punch at the end. Glad we weren't spoiled.
Yeah, I liked this ep.
I'm with you on the hand waving for the science. We try to fix it but they actually stop us. It's the strangest dynamic. Joe wants to blow his brains out some days when they won't let him fix some stuff.
Anyway, it's bedtime. More tomorrow.
Yeah. Ed's good. They kept trying to get him to make his lines towards me mean ("Don't screw it up, Carter") and he just wouldn't bite. He didn't do it once and I think he made the right choice.
Hi, Cferg. It's nice to see you here.
Ed's good. They kept trying to get him to make his lines towards me mean ("Don't screw it up, Carter") and he just wouldn't bite. He didn't do it once and I think he made the right choice.
There's a delicate, perfect balance of antagonism, competition, and respect that he hits so well. It's believable, and true to the characters. Also, piquant and hawt. They don't hate each other. They can get incredibly annoyed when they are working at cross-purposes, which is their default setting, but it is not too difficult to remind them when they are on the same side. The Carter/Stark dynamic will be missed. But I agree with those who hope its passing means there will be more room for the Henry/Jack stuff.
CFerg, there's a thread for spoilers if people are interested, or you can white font (just put an "s" and space at the beginning of the line). basically our rule is that we can only discuss things that have been aired on broadcast tv.
Just to clarify: The rule is no spoilers in this thread, white-fonted or not!
Glad you could stop by, Mr. Ferg.
I got some news though, I'm gonna be writing few comics for the Eureka comic - actually, maybe I'm flattering myself. Andy (Cosby) and Mark (Waid) will be pulling puppet strings and I will be thinking I am writing. We're thinking of a 4 or 5 parter and it would take place inbetween season one and two. It all went down today so I'm really excited about it.
Oh, that is exciting!
Why am I not at all surprised that Joe M. wants to fix the science?
I'm really liking this season so far, CFerg! With the sad-making exception, of course, but it will make the rest of the season more dramatic, for sure.
And that's cool news about the comic book, too!
Oh, that's right. I meant to say, Congratulations on the comic book writing. I'm imagining it's a blast to work on.
Oh, ghod, more comics to add to pulls. Yay!! Have fun with it CFerg.
And I have to totally agree with WindSparrow, Ed has a very good ear for the dynamics between Stark and Carter. I thought he knocked it out of the ballpark in the last episode.
