Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I recently read some blog that had the new scifi/fantasy stuff for the fall season, and sciffy had a few new shows. Of course, they'd be smart to use their old strong shows as lead ins, but what do I know? And in the era of remote controls and TV recording, does a lead in really matter anymore?

It's true - I mean, I watch Middleman, but I have no idea what day or time it airs, because I just watch online. I kind of miss the fun of appointment TV, which Sci-fi Friday pretty much was for me... though sometimes it was the second airing of eps later in the night.

I do know that Sanctuary was made as a web series by some of the people from the Stargate franchise (Martin Wood included) and guest-stars a bunch of SGA people in addition to Amanda Tapping being the female lead. If it takes off enough for them to film new episodes, it'll be like a TV version of a repertory company.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Eep! And that's all I can say right now. Full story later.

Hey guys,

long time no chat....I had lost my password and am lazy, but I have been reading and then have so much to say that I bottleneck and then get overwhelmed.

know, it's weird to cancel every scripted show and THEN try to launch a bunch of new series. Seems counter intuitive. I know they're trying to launch Sanctuary off SGA's back and Revolution off of Eureka - or that's the latest lie I was told.

I got some news though, I'm gonna be writing few comics for the Eureka comic - actually, maybe I'm flattering myself. Andy (Cosby) and Mark (Waid) will be pulling puppet strings and I will be thinking I am writing. We're thinking of a 4 or 5 parter and it would take place inbetween season one and two. It all went down today so I'm really excited about it.

We broke the story and it's AWESOME.

And I'll stay quiet about Ed's death unless you want some info... he's in Bali right now getting marrried.

CFerg, there's a thread for spoilers if people are interested, or you can white font (just put an "s" and space at the beginning of the line). basically our rule is that we can only discuss things that have been aired on broadcast tv.
