That was so cool! Best part of the episode!
'Conviction (1)'
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

The Stargate franchise is like a big SciFi magnet isn't it. Pulling in loose actors from other shows that have been cut loose! I think the only significant franchise not represented is Babylon 5.
*hugs refound kitty to bring back happies*
In a way, I wish that this hadn't been the finale. Or that everything hadn't been shoved into this one ep. It could have been tied off with a neat "Earth is safe, everyone's alive" and then there could have been several more eps as Rose comes to grips with human!Ten and the Doctor tries to find ways to save Donna, and both of them choose for themselves. At least then there would have been more Donna, I wouldn't have to gag everytime I watch the BWB scene (and I've read the logic and reasoning and momentarily I'm swayed, but in the end, nope: gag), and the pain wouldn't be so bad.
DONNA!!!!!!
I don't get why the Doctor had to erase all Donna's memories of himself and the TARDIS. Take his own active consciousness back, sure, and maybe even remove Donna's memories of her experiences while her mind was expanded to avoid a Flowers for Algernon-type situation. But why would remembering things she'd experienced before that point pose any danger to her?
Yeah, I wasn't at all happy with the Donna mindwipe, either time. I bawled like a baby, again. Especially when Wilf said he'd look up for her. Geez, I'm still teary.
And, can I smack Rose? She's got a Doctor, be happy! He's got all the same damn memories, he's the same man, minus one heart. And guess what, he'll say he loves you! Be happy! Yeesh.

I think I need to go read ariastar's alternate Season 5. [link] I highly recommend it for how it fixes Donna.
eta linky
Yeah! And I can finally use all my DW icons on LJ. It's been killing me not to use them for fear of spoiling someone.
I was a weepy mess at the end. Poor Donna! Oh, well, at least Rose gets her Doctor at the end.
Jackie was seriously ill-used here--why bother bringing her back at all, other than to trick us into thinking she'd be the one "child of time" to croak in that test run of the bomb? Feh.
Loved Jack's mind immediately going to naughty places with the thought of three "Doctors" available!
The only thing I'm curious about is that Dalek Caan said that one of the Children of Time would still die. Do you think he meant Donna, if the Doctor didn't do what he did? Or do you think one of them still has to die and we'll see it in season 5?

Agreed.
