A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
What for? It's not like they can actually hurt him (at least until they figure out the fire thing), and while he's there he can gather intel.
So the DEA doesn’t get blown up trying to rescue him or give up Astra. I mean, I agree that being captured helped him gather intel, but I don't know if it was worth the lives of those soldiers or Astra being freed.
Yeah, even at Man of Steel power levels rather than Donner movie lift-the-San-Andreas-Fault-to-avert-giant-earthquake ones, multiple Kryptonians who can run interference for each other would be able to overwhelm just about any military on the planet.
Well, they are trying to say that they are/were a resistance army and they have honor.
I thought it was interesting that Astra is the general, but none of the soldiers obeyed her order to stand down until her husband repeated it. Was that a handwave for narrative tension, or does she not control her people?

That struck me as odd as well.
ION, I had only the mildest interest in the Shannara TV series (never read the books) but it appears the male lead is played by the smarmy blond DJ/assassin from Arrow, which dropped my interest to zero. That and all the promo pics look terrible.
I watched the Shannara pilot out of loyalty to my 11 year-old self. It was pretty terrible.
Fortunately my 11 year-old self thought the first Shannara book was a cheap Tolkein ripoff, so I feel no urge to see how badly the SciFi Network can execute the story.
WHY IS THERE NO NEW ARROW TONIGHT. *pout*
OK, I was kind of ambivalent about the X-files reboot or whatever it is but I just saw an ad and now I am full of squee!
I never saw the movie, do I need to hurry up and see the movie?
No, it was boring and terrible.
(I presume you mean the second one. The first one was good!)
Do I? I don't remember either one, but that doesn't mean anything.
You probably don't need to watch them, but
Fight the Future
is the good one and
I Want to Believe
is the bad one.
