Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't know why that doesn't bother me, but the Cat backtrack really does.

OTOH, there was something kind of great about J'onn's performance.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The boss being obsessed about a super hero's secret identity and going all Nancy Drew to prove it's one of their employees (even if correct) really rubs me the wrong way. It's not an organic dramatic situation at all.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of the backtrack, although I did like Kara's speech about why the job was important to her, and Cat did make a good point in that she should let the local superhero actually go do superhero stuff instead of deliver her coffee.

I hope at some point they do let the revelation stick (and just let her continue working there) because that would add to their relationship.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I loved J'onn's snark while Non had him captive. (Though I was wondering why he didn't just phase out of the shackles and bail the first instant he was alone.)

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

(Though I was wondering why he didn't just phase out of the shackles and bail the first instant he was alone.)

What for? It's not like they can actually hurt him (at least until they figure out the fire thing), and while he's there he can gather intel.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I think it's okay in the context of Kat being head of a news gathering organization. It'd be a big scoop. I never had a problem with it when it was Lois Lane, either.

The rollback bugged a little, and I had the same reaction as others to the phalanx of Kryptonians. If they really want to impose their will on the earth, they just need to stop dicking around. It'll be a walkover, even if you include Kal, Bruce, the Arrowverse, and the Flashverse as part of it.

That was good.

Arrowverse brings in John Constantine and the existence of magic though, which opens up the Kryptonians to a weakness that a lot more people can take advantage of.

True, and from there it's only a short hop, skip, and pratfall into a Mr. Mxyzptlk appearance.
