A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I thought the detective bought into the psychic thing a little too quickly, and I would like to see Liv try a little harder to resist the impulses of whoever's brain she has just eaten.
I would agree with both of those criticisms, especially the first.
I am extremely interested to find out if Liv keeps any of the skills she picks up from eating brains or if they are just temporary.
Pretty sure it's been established that they're just temporary. She has to eat more of the brain to get a new fix (like with the artist), and when she's out, it's out.
I don't think the skills have been established either way, just the character traits.
It looked like they were going to go there when the detective asked her to sketch something the episode after the artist, but then they didn't.
I want her to combine brains for a meal and see what happens.
Oooh, now I want that too.
Exactly, sj. I thought she had mentioned having negative artistic skills without artist brains so I was a little surprised that she just produced the sketch of the taillights without comment.
It is not my one true shoe either at least yet because it hasn't tried to really break out of the mold it sets for itself. Kind of like the first few eps of Wonder falls in fact. Makes the stakes less intense than say VM but also provides more stability.
But, hey. Buffy eps 2 through 4 weren't much either. The potential, it is there.
iZombie: In the first episode Liv buys a bunch of self tanner implying that she is trying to look like she's not a zombie so why doesn't she wear brighter make-up? Especially lipstick.
I'm intrigued by the implications raised in the scene at STAR Labs, when Cisco realized that Deathbolt wasn't in Central City when the particle accelerator went kaboom.
I got a kick out of Ray asking how the metahuman inmates handle basic biological functions (meaning the writers at least acknowledge it's a legitimate question) before Cisco derailed it with the not in Central City revelation.
Also, normally I like Lance a lot, but I so wanted Ollie to punch him when we thought Roy was dead and he was being a dick about it.
Quentin's behavior is totally in character, but WOW, is it making me dislike him, which has never happened before. It makes me wonder if he has a big you-were-right-I-was-wrong redemptive death scene coming up. (I hope not!)
As if there weren't enough reasons to hate Laurel already, I just realized this whole mess is her fault. She was the one that insisted on keeping Sara's death a secret, despite urgings from Oliver that Quentin deserved to know.
