Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Watching Flash before Arrow. JFC stop making me angry on Iris's behalf! I saw the discussion here but God damn. I want to punch them all. Maybe Felicity especially.

And no, Felicity, it was just as creepy as it sounds.

I keep thinking bee girl is Penelope Garcia from the back.

"Ain't nobody got time for bees!" Okay, there's one person I don't want to smack.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I was upset they did not address the Ray/Felicity unreciprocation in Flash, and then bam right away address it in Arrow. does seem sloppy. I realize the audiences do not all watch both, but I have not liked these 2 episodes. I hope next weeks' are awesome.

Very sloppy.

No, but she was in The Walking Dead.

Also, I'm REALLY tired of waiting for Akio to die in the flashbacks. I'm hoping there's a HUGE fakeout on that one and he doesn't die, but the damn show has been telegraphing it all season. (LAZARUS PIT for Akio! LAZARUS PIT for everyone! Dig up Tommy! Dig up Moira!)

And for the real Wells while we're at it.

I was glad to see Felicity make some effort at saving herself.

Ack! My DVR cut off the preview!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Okay, that episode of the Flash was just FUN.

Except, YES, everyone needs to stop lying to Iris. I don't really have much use for her, but everyone needs to stop lying to her. Whenever she finds out, I hope she's as righteously pissed at everyone as Cop Daddy is over on Arrow. Maybe they can have a support group, called Everyone Who Loves Me Is A Lying Jerk.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Goddammit Arrow!

And some side-eye for you, Flash. No more killing Cisco even a little bit.

I am also on Team Stop Lying to Iris. Although Eddie needs to learn the phrase It's Not My Secret to Reveal. I mean, it's a true and simple explanation for why he's not telling her something he wants to tell her. Maybe it wouldn't be enough for her, but it's something. Joe and Barry just need to stop.

Gotham has moments where I think it's getting really good, and then other times I am just not sure how I feel about it. I enjoyed Fish's escape a lot and I hope she survives. It's mostly young Bruce I'm not sure about, I guess. And most of my misgivings might have to do with Selina and Bruce. Hm.

Anyone else watch 12 Monkeys? I really dug it. For most of the season I was mostly thinking that it was doing a good job of mining the same ideas as the movie and short, that the three together made a cool case study of how to address the same basic material in different formats, and then the last two episodes really opened the story up. Totally curious about where season 2 will go.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So that really was it for Roy: Colton Haynes exits Arrow.

Bummer. For me. I assume he will be just fine.

I'm more than happy to see him go. A while back ita posted two pictures of the actor in blackface on Halloween on two separate years, and I've been hoping he would leave the show since then.

I don't know thing one about the actor. I like the character a lot.

Once I know something like that about an actor it affects the way I see their performance. It is possibly a flaw on my part.

So, I'm caught up on current shows on my DVR. So, I'm starting to watch iZombie right now. First impressions: The main character looks much younger in zombie make-up than she does without it, and I'm feeling a bit of a Wonderfalls influence in terms of a character who is very bright with a good education ending up in a job that is less than what is expected of her and the overbearing family. Only gagging a little bit on the brain eating part so far.
