Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I kinda expected Lowell to be a zombie given his sudden interest in Liv, but the Captain being a zombie was a shock.

Same on both counts. I was afraid the new body for Liv was his.

I like the actress, but the "hero's love interest makes really bad decisions because everyone is keeping them in the dark" was horrible enough on Arrow. I have no idea why they felt the need to repeat it on The Flash.

I still find Ray Palmer to be super creepy.

You guys already said the things I was going to say, so I'll just point upward and say, "cosigned."

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

From Once Upon A Time - it occurred to me - why does everyone's happily ever after HAVE to include a One True Love? why aren't there any happy endings with people single? or with a partner of (gasp!) the same sex?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Probably because that's the way it works in the fairy tales/children's stories that inspired the show. The beautiful princess marries the handsome prince, and they all live happily ever after.

Although it would be nice if one of the original (to the series) characters breaks the pattern. Maybe August?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Frozen was so refreshing for that alone.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I still find Ray Palmer to be super creepy.

I'm finding him less creepy, though Felicity's explanation of how they met followed with "But it wasn't as creepy as it sounds." made me shake my head. No, Felicity, it really was as creepy add it sounds.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I still find Ray Palmer to be super creepy. Buying out the entire restaurant?

I couldn't help but think, did the restaurant just call back all the people who'd been looking forward to their reservations that night for months and tell them the place was unexpectedly closing, better luck next time? Maybe people who'd been planning on proposing, or celebrating an anniversary or other special occasion? All so His Royal Majesty wouldn't have to be troubled by seeing anyone he wasn't personally dining with enjoying a nice meal?

Thoughtless entitlement by rich white dudes isn't actually all that charming.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I don't have a problem with Iris, but I am kinda pissed at how Joe has decided she needs to be kept in the dark. I was especially annoyed with the conversation between him and Eddie about making her decisions for her. Very patronizing.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Hee! You crazy, crazy show.

In retrospect, Lazarus Pit has been the Chekhov's gun this season all along. Are they gonna be able to name it as LP though? Or is there some DC rights issue that prevents the show from referring to it by its proper name?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I didn't see the Flash last night (yet), so I'm jumping past all those posts to wave my arms and yell LAZARUS PIT! It's funny, because right after the show went to commercial after the Roy fakeout, Tim said "Lazarus Pit. They can fix this with a Lazarus Pit." And then when Ra's knifed Thea (not cool, man), we both yelled "LAZARUS PIT!"

I feel like this whole episode was really disjointed, though, like the showrunners knew where they needed to get all the characters to be by the end of the episode, but had no idea how to get there in an elegant manner. Weird episode.

Also, I'm REALLY tired of waiting for Akio to die in the flashbacks. I'm hoping there's a HUGE fakeout on that one and he doesn't die, but the damn show has been telegraphing it all season. (LAZARUS PIT for Akio! LAZARUS PIT for everyone! Dig up Tommy! Dig up Moira!)
