The show is both dark and campy, yet it manages to completely avoid being fun. And I had the same reaction to what they did to Rene Montoya. Way to take a great character and make her unlikeable.

Ichabod as a badass with the laser-sighted crossbow was fun, though. I predict Illusionary Year of Training fic.
And we'll get Abby (or Jenny) teaching Ichabod how to drive!
that was a nice workaround with the Amulet of Seeing Abraham and Letting Him Have Lines. Though the scene with the bread and the knife was cool without words.
