Zoe: Don't think it's a good spot, sir. She still has the advantage over us. Mal: Everyone always does. That's what makes us special.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

And the scene where she makes him try on modern clothes.

I was actually commenting that he needs to swing by Target and get some skinny jeans. And a damn scrunchie.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I was actually commenting that he needs to swing by Target and get some skinny jeans. And a damn scrunchie.

He ended up getting new clothes from a someone who makes them for Revolutionary War reenactments.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The AVClub can be hit-or-miss, but their review of Gotham is spot-on: [link]

The show is both dark and campy, yet it manages to completely avoid being fun. And I had the same reaction to what they did to Rene Montoya. Way to take a great character and make her unlikeable.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The show is both dark and campy, yet it manages to completely avoid being fun.

It's written like a bad parody of the Adam West show, and shot like a bad parody of the Christopher Nolan movies.

Sleepy Hollow: I have no idea what the fuck is going on, but I'm just going to roll with it.

Kristen is on the writing staff this year, right?

Because books.

Naked headless guy is ripped.

And how many shows can you say that about, really?

I think my favorite line was, "Must learn to drive." And the shrug when Jenny saw who was driving. ICHABOD.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

You guys who didn't watch Season 1, really should go back and watch it. It is loads of fun and impossible to explain how it all fits together.

I am so glad the first part was a hallucination! I didn't want Jenny and Katrina to be gone!

The only thing the episode lacked was Orlando Jones.

brillig

Ichabod as a badass with the laser-sighted crossbow was fun, though. I predict Illusionary Year of Training fic.

And we'll get Abby (or Jenny) teaching Ichabod how to drive!

that was a nice workaround with the Amulet of Seeing Abraham and Letting Him Have Lines. Though the scene with the bread and the knife was cool without words.

I was so thrilled to see Montoya...and really unhappy with her portrayal. Boo.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

That was a very confusing first 15 minutes of Sleepy Hollow.

I have no idea what the fuck is going on, but I'm just going to roll with it.

I think that's probably for the best.

Naked headless guy is ripped.

Oh yes.

That was very cool.

Timothy Busfield as Franklin is some brilliant casting. I do hope we see more of him.

Another nice workaround is Henry controlling the 2nd horseman instead of becoming him. 'Cause why give up John Noble if you don't have to?
