Even in the right thread, justice is not put to a vote.
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Trial by combat!
In on-topic, I agree with sj and Amy.
On the other hand, I liked the intercut of Rachel's discussion with Ethan and her trashing her desk, but I think that was because I read it as Rachel being furious that her creators had so clearly decided her biological limitations, and taken away her opportunity to choose.
I was a little confused about what was going on there, but I did figure it was her reaction after Duncan had gone (confirmed by the writers). I do agree, however, that we haven't gotten enough about Rachel to make her reaction make sense. That reaction is characterization rather than an extension of her characterization.
the make-up department totally failed in creating Tony
It was disappointing what a half-assed job it seemed to be, compared to what they do for everyone else.
The whole "whatever, Helena's off being Helena" was weird too.
Also, in a typically well written show, I could not believe there was an exchange in which Duncan said something and then Mrs. S repeated what he had said with names as if the audience didn't know who the fuck he was talking about.
I'm with you, -t.
Whew. I was ready to be the cheese that stands alone, but it is always nice to have company.
I didn't dislike it! I just felt like I could see behind the curtain for the first time, which was a little disappointing.
As far as "Helena's off being Helena" I totally get it. This is the Sarah we met in the premiere. When she saw Helena being dragged off by the cops, my bet is she's thinking "good riddance", because she's gotten what she wants from the trip. If she knew Helena was going back to the farm, my bet is she might have had a whole other reaction.
I will say, if Tony is a one-off, I will be disappointed, but I can think of a bunch of reasons why Beth might have kept him so off her grid in terms of notes.
As far as the makeup goes, I'm not sure what else they would have done to indicate his gender in such a short space of time. Plus, I know plenty of men who were born as men who have even worse facial hair and insist on keeping it.
I think the issue is more that the beard appears to be ALL they did.
The hair really didn't help. In that "Inside Look" they do toward the end of the show every week, they were talking about how a wig of short male hair wouldn't really fit over Tatiana's hair, so I guess there was no way around it, but still. Not good.
Slicking back her hair into something resembling a DA would have solved a lot of the problems.
