Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I've never watched Orphan Black, but it's just gone in my Watch Next queue. I saw a poster for it and went, oh, hey, who are these actresses, why aren't they all named...wait, this is what? I looked at that and literally thought it was three different women.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

BTW Boing Boing posted a full recap of tonight's episode this morning. I lost the link. But I'm sure it is easy to find if you want spoilers. If you want to avoid spoilers, and visit Boing Boing regularly, watch out for that post.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I seriously can't relate one single person playing all those characters. Even when I see Tatiana interviewed, it still doesn't click. My brain will jump up and say, "Oh, I hope they bring on the actress who plays Alison!" and then I quickly realize, "Um... that is the actress who plays Alison."

In one interview I saw, she said she always tries to start out the day with Alison scenes and end with Cosima, because Alison takes so much energy and Cosima is easier to play tired because she's so loose and slouchy.

Oh shit, I'm going to have to avoid this thread until at least tomorrow night! I'm at my parents' house and they haven't seen any of S1 yet. Maybe I can watch it after they go to bed.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm watching The Cloneversation from last week right now. Good times. The actor who plays Felix having a different accent is blowing my mind.

Duuuuuuuuuuuude!!!!

(My mom went to bed early and my dad is down in the basement, so the TV was all mine.)

Holy balls, I'm glad this show is back. Alison, I've missed you so much. And Alive!Helena! Of course she's unkillable.

OMG Helena! Shocking and inevitable. I'm really sad about Diner Guy, he made quite an impression in his short time with us.

What the hell is that musical? Besides not Cats.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I burst out with "OMG I love you, Alison," like three or four times during the episode. That scene with Ramon in the parking lot! And wow, it's not enough that she's a freakishly talented actress, Tatiana Maslany can actually sing!

Also, I'm totally confused about timeline. Did Helena's shooting and Kira's abduction all happen on the same night? It's been so long since I watched S1, I can't remember.

I think yes? I haven't rewatched, but I think so. I have forgotten so much.

That scene with Ramon in the parking lot!

Right? So perfect.

See also Delphine realizing that that was Sarah, not Cosima.

Of course Alison has an adorable clean-shaved drug dealer who can get her unlicensed firearms. I mean, of course she does.

(Real History Of Science Fiction, OTOH...well that was just embarrassing. Sorry channel, you know I try to love everything you do, but, well.)
