Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Yeah, I was thinking "Is that Ichabod's kid?" Too many soap operas.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm pretty excited for Irving's daughter to join the demon-fighting team on his next custody weekend.

I'm also assuming that Ichabod will now have to go to the Gap and get some skinny jeans, since his period clothes are covered in demon-tree blood.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I wanted Irving to ask his ex-wife if she'd happened to notice any newspaper articles about the rash of beheadings, Black Death outbreak, and German terrorist sabotage of the city's electrical grid that might just explain why the head of police in a "sleepy little town" of nearly 150,000 would be busier than expected recently.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yes, also that it might not be safe to have the kid visit her father when the last guy who held the job was killed in an unsolved mystery beheading and another cop's corpse vanished from the morgue.

I was thinking we could have some nice protective father bonding between Crane and Irving. I always loved in Castle when the captain and Rick would share parenting stories.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

§ ita §, that's cool! "Ichabod Crane doubts your commitment to Revolutionary motion."

ION, I went last night to see the DW 50th on the big screen in 3D. It was still pretty cool, but I don't think the 3D really added anything. On the other hand, we did get the Doctor's introduction to the 3D version, which was very, uh, Matt Smith-y:

"Hello, everyone! Welcome to the Doctor Who 100th anniversary special! In TWELVE-D, with all 57 Doctors!"

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It was still pretty cool, but I don't think the 3D really added anything.

It did make the 3D paintings actually 3D.

The introduction was very fun. And the Sontaran movie etiquette video!

Compassionately intolerant

The introduction was very fun. And the Sontaran movie etiquette video!

I want this before every movie!

My monocular vision is well known and I have to say that the 2D presentation was plenty swoopy enough to make me queasy.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The introduction was very fun. And the Sontaran movie etiquette video!

I've just gone back and started watching the Jenna-Louise Coleman adventures, including the Christmas special. Strax is hilarious, and if I hadn't just changed my tagline, I would be tagging him right now. "I have declared war on the Moon!"

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I want one!

Oh, *that's* what I left off my wish list!
