A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I've been wondering if Fiona's point about
McCann's age
is why
the other Doctor's have not been invited to participate. McCann still looks very much like himself in the tv movie
.
Perhaps TPTB were concerned
about throwing people out of the story with characters that have so obviously grown old
. On the other hand, since
actors have been reused so many times, they could have been cast as new characters
!
Watching the trailer for the Day of the Doctor,
CE
seems conspicuously absent, don't you think?
Yes. I believe
he was asked to return, but since he didn't want to, they invented this whole War Doctor thing.
I suspected metareasoning. Too bad.
Oh, I don't know. Colin Baker vehemently stated that none of the older Doctors had been asked back, including
Paul McGann
. So now I almost expect them to
produce CE like a rabbit out of a hat
.
Fiona, I agree, I expect
more casting surprises. I don't believe anything that anyone has said in the press wrt casting.
I would love to see
Nine as the War Doctor.
It would explain so much of his angst. But the point about looking at the ears is valid. And I miss Tom Baker's manic grin. Where can I find the old eps? Are they on Netflix? Or somewhere? There are lot of the McCoy eps I'd like to see again, too.
Netflix definitely has a lot of classic Who. Shit, I just saw a Tumblr post that had links to stuff for all the doctors, but...tumblr speed...
This is cute: Matthew Yglesias just quoted Battlestar Galactica at the end of a column on fiscal policy.
