'Shindig'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

  • Nice cheat with Black Canary's powers. I wonder when they do the Flash if he'll have some sort of technological assist, or if he'll have actual super powers.

  • The show needs a better parcour consultant.

  • A clock tower. Very nice.

Nice cheat with Black Canary's powers.

When Black Canary first joined Birds of Prey (in the comics), Dinah had an electronic device that did a supersonic canary cry, because she had lost her vocal canary cry powers during the Longbow Hunters arc. t /power nerd

A clock tower. Very nice.

That was fairly awesome.

And I laughed so hard at Roy whining about being hit in the face. ("Not my beautiful face!" [Okay, he didn't actually say that, but he might as well have.])

Because books.

Oh, Millenium! I haven't thought about that show in a long time. Maybe it's time for a rewatch.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That was a super creepy bad guy.

I'm willing to handwave that when Officer No-longer-a-detective decided he'd work with Our Hero, he also made a commitment to not picking up on any identifying clues.

I am loving the Black Canary business, especially my girl Bullet having a part. Good times.

Ra's al Ghul, eh?

Ra's al Ghul, eh?

I thought I might have misheard that.

Hm.

It's an easy explanation for how Black Canary got trained so well (if she is Sarah, which I still think she is, given how often the show has mentioned Sarah in every episode this season) -- if she ended up in the League of Shadows after the shipwreck, they could train her up to be a badass vigilante.

I see Dracula is also set in an alternate universe.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I don't think there is anything on this earth that would get me to watch Dracula on NBC.

Yeah, it's been a while since I've read the original, but I don't remember Mina being a med student or Jonathan being a reporter. Or Dracula posing as an American industrialist or inventor or whatever this guy is, for that matter. (Actually, that's my biggest peeve so far -- I miss Meyers's actual accent instead of the American accent he's using.)
