Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Ah, no, repeat of Pilot. Good idea, the show's getting traction, time to catch people up on what's been going on.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I don't think any Sleepy Hollow episode belongs on a scariest list. Unless there was an earlier Sleepy Hollow TV series?

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Arrow: So let me see if I have this straight. Laurel's father knows that Felicity works with the Arrow. He runs around with the Arrow all through the episode and somehow doesn't realize that the Arrow is Oliver Queen?

He's a really bad cop.

Well, you know, Ollie has that hoodie of justice. No one can make out his identity under a hoodie.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Punky Brewster? Okay. I would put more Morgan & Wong on that list; the Millennium episodes Monster and The Time Is Now.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

  • Nice cheat with Black Canary's powers. I wonder when they do the Flash if he'll have some sort of technological assist, or if he'll have actual super powers.

  • The show needs a better parcour consultant.

  • A clock tower. Very nice.

Nice cheat with Black Canary's powers.

When Black Canary first joined Birds of Prey (in the comics), Dinah had an electronic device that did a supersonic canary cry, because she had lost her vocal canary cry powers during the Longbow Hunters arc. t /power nerd

A clock tower. Very nice.

That was fairly awesome.

And I laughed so hard at Roy whining about being hit in the face. ("Not my beautiful face!" [Okay, he didn't actually say that, but he might as well have.])

Because books.

Oh, Millenium! I haven't thought about that show in a long time. Maybe it's time for a rewatch.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That was a super creepy bad guy.

I'm willing to handwave that when Officer No-longer-a-detective decided he'd work with Our Hero, he also made a commitment to not picking up on any identifying clues.

I am loving the Black Canary business, especially my girl Bullet having a part. Good times.

Ra's al Ghul, eh?
