WB? Like, the online version?
'Shindig'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I meant CW. WB is the studio that makes it. Sorry.
That would be excellent.
BTW, REAPER totally rocked. I'm so looking forward to the finale - even though we're getting it post-baseball (i.e., at approximaltely 11:30 pm)
So the trailer for the American version of Life on Mars is online.
The earth is doomed. ::sigh::
The only thing that makes it remotely palatable is Colm Meaney as Gene Hunt. I think he can pull it off. The rest, not so much.
It...looks like a bad American version of Life on Mars. It's all so weird and wrong!
I know, it looks terrible! They took all the freakish ambiguity out of it and made it ... I don't know how to describe it. Primary colors, kind of.
Bah!
It feels like the pilot of the American Office. Too much like a carbon copy. I mean, they even used the same shot of Sam getting hit by the car.
Of course, the American Office proceeded to become awesome. I think it's the exception, though.
I actually think Sam seems okay, but Gene seems really subdued from what they showed. And the actress they got for Annie was in an episode of VM, so I like her from that.
It looks like too much fun. Speaking of things to cc over, I need my music, man. Please tell me enough people in the US were listening to Bowie.
That was hilarious! I really hope that the original producers are being paid lots and lots of money for this, because they not only sold the premise but most of the shots as well. Except for the shot of Sam on a hospital bed in a coma in 2008. Way to give everything away, Americans.
I saw this elsewhere and my reaction is meh. stupid american remakes. i'll probably end up watching the pilot, but based on that trailer i won't watch any more than that. i don't know how they did it, but they managed to make something amazing and different seem cheesy and unwatchable.
i'll stick with John Simm and Philip Glenister, thanks.
