I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

That was hilarious! I really hope that the original producers are being paid lots and lots of money for this, because they not only sold the premise but most of the shots as well. Except for the shot of Sam on a hospital bed in a coma in 2008. Way to give everything away, Americans.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

I saw this elsewhere and my reaction is meh. stupid american remakes. i'll probably end up watching the pilot, but based on that trailer i won't watch any more than that. i don't know how they did it, but they managed to make something amazing and different seem cheesy and unwatchable.

i'll stick with John Simm and Philip Glenister, thanks.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, and I don't mean "too much fun" as a compliment. I mean more fun than it's supposed to be.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Except for the shot of Sam on a hospital bed in a coma in 2008.

Ugh - it won't play for me at work, but from the descriptions it sounds like that godawful Stephen King remake of The Kingdom. Which I believe was also on ABC!

Art Crawl!!!

I thought that the music was off and clearly they're doing the thing that doesn't work and just taking the UK scripts and doing them over in some US city.

(Does anyone remember which city it's supposed to be in?)

Art Crawl!!!

Preview for this week's BSG up at Hulu.

This might be the same preview we'll get from sciffy on Firday. Might be - or at least part of it.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Oooh, Avatar - I was planning to try those DVDs. Although I'm watching Death Note in Japanese at the moment, and suspect Avatar will also be in NotEnglish. Unless it IS English? Which would be very handy?

...I guess nobody here is obsessing over Death Note at the minute?

(asks the girl wearing the Death Note watch, using the Death Note handbag and keeping her keys on a Death Note keyring)

...yeah, damn, didn't think so.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Avatar is English and you must watch it.
