The big draw in the Kripke show I do love is character, and I have enough TV shows being watched that if no one stood out in my first watch then it's not similar lightning in a bottle to his last go round and I'm with Scola and Theo--initially no one to hang on to, too many other shows higher on the list and I didn't check again.

Hm, I don't know if there's any one character on Revolution I'm completely invested in. (They can stop trying to make Miles v Monroe happen any day now. We get it, they have a history, and don't really want to kill each other. MOVING ON PLS.) I mainly like the worldbuilding, terrible science aside - the post-apocalyptic AU North America it's built is pretty fascinating.
(I'm a sucker for a good post-apocalyptic AU North America. Hell, it's the only reason I read Thirteen even though the actual plot had me bored silly about 15 pages in.)

I'm on board 100% for Miles.
The show improved tremendously after they came back from their hiatus this year and the focus shifted from Charlie (the irritating teenaged girl) and her angst as she searched for her brother to the rebels and the political situation and the push-and-pull between Miles and Monroe (who grows ever more insane).

I think Orphan Black is unclear about that too. I read some article somewhere that early episodes have some NYC references with the police but all the location references seem to be Torontonian.
