I'm curious to see if the Revolution cast can do the humor.
Buffy ,'Chosen'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Can the show take the humour? We're talking Smile Time here--Revolution struck me with more of a "laugh at" feeling than what Edlund's identifying characteristics lean towards.
But maybe he's done being wacky! Tim (after his stint on Buffy, natch) mixed up the genre and non-genre for a while.
And I really need to watch AHS. Jesus, ita !!
I still have one episode to watch of In The Flesh and am still intrigued.
Can the show take the humour?
Maybe turning it into a spoof of itself would be the best (or, perhaps, only?) way to make it entertaining?
Hmm I had given up on Revolution. Are you guys saying Edlund is going to be writing?
I wound up mainlining Revolution on Hulu, and really digging it. It's still dumb, but I like it. You just have to assume they're in an alternate universe where electricity works the way they say it does.
I really enjoy Revolution. I hand wave the science.
Revolution lost me. I just couldn't care enough about any of the characters.
The physics-defying future where nothing technological works except curling irons, fashion manufacturing, and the tools necessary for cosmetic dentistry work lost me before I had a chance to get to know any of the characters.
I'm in the Scola camp, alas.
