yes, that's the version I have. I'm reading it in order so I am on Oz.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I haven't seen The Sopranos, The Shield, or 24, so I would skip those chapters.
wh-wh-wha-WHAT?
I haven't seen everything! I haven't even seen The West Wing, but I am rectifying that soon.
Arrow: (1) shirtless Ollie, 7 minutes in. (2) Bertinelli crime family. Which means (3) Helena Bertinelli HELL YES.
Abrams told Braun that there wasn't quite enough there for a series, but suggested that "The island has to be a character in the show, and something's wrong with the island." Braun agreed, so long as Abrams promised to keep things in the realm of "scientific fact" and have an explanation for everything.
Hahahaha!
I know a lot of shows have tried to be the next Lost, but I kind of feel like Revolution is. Not necessarily in business terms, but in the storytelling and style (and logic). Giancarlo Esposito is totally the Locke of the series.
And Tamoh Penikett, woo! (Still Arrow.)
Okay, that episode of Arrow? REALLY GOOD. I'm pleased on so many levels.
Arrow seems definitely willing to kill, unlike Batman. Is that the series only, or was that comic book canon as well? In general they are aiming for real darkness in the character. Again is that the series only, or was that the aim in much of the comic book series? (Of course I know comic book characters get rebooted a lot, but ... )
Green Arrow has been all over the map in the comics; yes, the dark has been done, but certainly not consistently.
But if you're not going to have him using trick arrows like he does in the comics, you kind of need to have him using deadly force to be seen as a threat.
