If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

It is inevitable that I will have to watch Teen Wolf, isn't it?

It's amazing how people are getting sucked in at such a rate. I'm two episodes in and enjoying it very much so far. I'm spoiled on one or two major plot points, but not too much in the way of character arc. That said, I already adore Stiles and Scott, but I'm kind of meh on Derek and Alison. I don't dislike them, but they've yet to do anything to really grab my interest. Again, only two episodes in, so I expect that may change fairly soon.

Also, I really hope the lacrosse coach remains this hilarious throughout the show, because I crack up every time he's on screen.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The lacrosse coach stays golden. He's fucking hysterical. I forget him too often when I think of the show.

In my estimation, Derek really never does anything special. He's not particularly competent or even cool, and I find his pain a bit mechanical--it's a product of the circumstance, not the acting. Allison's my girl, though. She whiplashes a bit, but I also think she's in a really confusing place and I wouldn't know my ass from a hole in the ground if I was a 17 year old in her shoes.

But....Stiles is the true magic of the show. Dylan O'Brien has great comic timing, and he sells pain and doubt and guilt and yearning and inferiority so damned well, it's almost a shame it's not his name on the box. His father is also really great. They have one of the cooler...I'm realising the parenting relationships I really like tend to be single parents, except for Seth and his dad on the OC...anyway...Stiles and Sheriff Stilinski are great. Scott's mother comes into her own later--she's not bad. And, well, the Argents...stay tuned in. That's all I can say.

Speaking of Coach Bobby Finstock, and Stiles, they work so well off each other. I don't remember which episode this was in, but I am realising after having watched S1 on Netflix instant, I need to watch S2 again, and I only have the last ep....I'm dangerously close to buying this, dammit.

Anyway! Coach and Stiles: [link]

I think Tyler Hoechlin does great work in... ep 2.02? The one where he's first talking to Erica. Though that's really the only time the writers have given Derek much to work with.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Loved the Spaceships vid, but it was missing a few. No Andromeda, Babylon 5, Earth 2, Defying Gravity...and I'm not remembering what else I missed when I was watching it.

I just saw the Eureka finale yesterday. I will miss Colin's remarkable range and the town with all it's wackiness! I'm glad Stark at least was in the montage.

Oh, I forgot to mention that while I've been going through the thread looking for comments on shows, I've noticed that there is so very little imagination given to naming characters in SciFi/supernatural shows.

Honestly, why so many Allisons, Olivias and Peters? There are other names out there!

Closing whine tag.

It seems strange to complain about names and not raise the Jack issue. Always in the forefront for me.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I haven't been in this thread all summer because I was way behind on several shows. I am now caught up. Knowing nothing about Teen Wolf helped speed the thread skimming.

The Eureka finale was sweet. Aw. And the ending with the pilot clip was a nice touch. The line about the government giving them six weeks to wrap things up was hilariously meta.

Forget Ned and Chuck and their treacle romance. Olive is where it's at.

I was always a little meh about Chuck, but I adore everyone else.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

i'm diving into Teen Wolf thanks to all the tumblr posts i've seen. i'm on ep 1x04 and i'm not in love with it yet.

Stiles reminds me so much of a young Corey Haim.
