A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Loved the Spaceships vid, but it was missing a few. No Andromeda, Babylon 5, Earth 2, Defying Gravity...and I'm not remembering what else I missed when I was watching it.
I just saw the Eureka finale yesterday. I will miss Colin's remarkable range and the town with all it's wackiness! I'm glad Stark at least was in the montage.
Oh, I forgot to mention that while I've been going through the thread looking for comments on shows, I've noticed that there is so very little imagination given to naming characters in SciFi/supernatural shows.
Honestly, why so many Allisons, Olivias and Peters? There are other names out there!
Closing whine tag.
It seems strange to complain about names and not raise the Jack issue. Always in the forefront for me.
There was also Zoe in at least three shows.
I haven't been in this thread all summer because I was way behind on several shows. I am now caught up. Knowing nothing about Teen Wolf helped speed the thread skimming.
The Eureka finale was sweet. Aw. And the ending with the pilot clip was a nice touch. The line about the government giving them six weeks to wrap things up was hilariously meta.
Forget Ned and Chuck and their treacle romance. Olive is where it's at.
I was always a little meh about Chuck, but I adore everyone else.
i'm diving into Teen Wolf thanks to all the tumblr posts i've seen. i'm on ep 1x04 and i'm not in love with it yet.
Stiles reminds me so much of a young Corey Haim.
The idea of
Teen Wolf
made me resistant -- you know, I have a lot of love for the original movie, which is a beautiful example of dumb comedy that works well because of the talent of the star. And, the show is on MTV, so not exactly worth checking out because let's face it, it's going to be so painfully by-the-numbers dumbly written that my teeth would ache.
They very carefully do not overlap with the movie in the least. Teen werewolf. End of similarity. They should really put that front and centre.
Teen Wolf
What's stopping me is the "Teen" part. I'm annoyed by teenage angsty drama, in RL or on TV.
Enh, nobody has to watch it. I'm highly entertained. Some pretty well crafted and really well performed characters.
