Fred: Oh my God! Angel, you're…cute! Angel: Fred, don't! Fred: Oh, but the little hands! And the hair! Angel: Hey! You're fired.

'Smile Time'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Well, dreadful in the British SFF way: cheesy, and with mediocre scripts. Also, Sinbad looks too young to me: isn't he supposed to be a ship's captain, not a street urchin?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Judging from the curse that seems to be the premise, they're not telling any Sinbad story I'm familiar with.

Which is, I guess, SOP for British genre tv these days.

Did the DreamWorks movie follow any existing canon?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Hell, I don't think wotisname from the 60's followed Burton canon. And Burton was, of course giving his own spin on classic Arabian folk tales.

No idea, never saw it. My familiarity with Sinbad tales is from Burton, or variations on Burton.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Starring Johnny Depp as Sinbad?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Same one, Sumi. He did the first English translation of the Arabian Nights stories.

So IO9 posits these 10 sff episodes changed TV: [link]

And do a very poor job of saying how. The arguments that each episode is *good* is probably trivial in most cases, but that's not the same thing.

I'd love it if The Body changed TV. I just don't feel it did, not above and beyond the "pretty young thing loves aged supernatural creature" which took off like wildfire.
