Hell, I don't think wotisname from the 60's followed Burton canon. And Burton was, of course giving his own spin on classic Arabian folk tales.

And do a very poor job of saying how. The arguments that each episode is *good* is probably trivial in most cases, but that's not the same thing.
I'd love it if The Body changed TV. I just don't feel it did, not above and beyond the "pretty young thing loves aged supernatural creature" which took off like wildfire.
