Poor Cabbage Guy.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I don't think we're supposed to see The Equalists as being without a point. It's their methods we're supposed to take issue with. And the fact that lot of them coming from a place of completely hating benders, not just wanting fair treatment.
I agree, it would be nice to see more delving into the actual society of Republic City. We know that the bending Triads prey upon the non-benders in the city, and that non-benders don't appear to have any say in the government (which seems incredibly short-sighted of Aang and Zuko if they set things up that way) but we also know that benders also provide some of the city's infrastructure (such as Mako working in the power plant).
Loved seeing Lin pulling the Toph-like move to find the secret tunnel. I agree that her deciding to leave the police force seems like a bad idea.
Considering that the Earth and Fire nations in the first series were ruled by "divine right" rulers (Emperor and Fire Lord), a governing council (elected? maybe not) is a step forward, in terms of approaching modern political systems.
Amanda Palmer used to do that in Harvard Square.
Sanctuary has been canceled.
Any eps to air? (Cancellation, Eureka-style)
Okay, the premise may be sucky but I thought that this sneak looks like fun.
It looks... sadly predictable, actually. Although it was nice to see wassname, that character actor who is rapidly racking up his tv credits. Pretty soon he'll be catching up with Mark Shepherd.
I can't get past the stupid, though. And the pretty.
