Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

It looks... sadly predictable, actually. Although it was nice to see wassname, that character actor who is rapidly racking up his tv credits. Pretty soon he'll be catching up with Mark Shepherd.

I can't get past the stupid, though. And the pretty.

Nope, the guy who was the father. He's been on SG-1 and The Good Wife and a bunch of other stuff too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So it's some sort of radiating pulse that stops the momentum of moving cars and sucks planes out of the sky?

It actually got dumber than I was expecting. That hurts...

And I pulled the name Tim Guinee out of my metaphorical ass--that's who you mean, Consuela?

... yeah? I think.

It actually got dumber than I was expecting.

Yeah, at least SM Stirling just called it magic.

Does it "scientifically" make things like steam power and levers stop working too?

Apparently gunpowder still works.

I love Tim Guinee so much and have for a long time, but his name is like mist to me. In fact I thought I guessed "Tim" because he'd been on a Tim show. Quite surprised to be right.

::handwaves madly::

This is a show designed by and for people who are scientific illiterates. HAVE WE FOUGHT AND DIED IN VAIN?

I'm not going to say that it's designed by scientific illiterates, but just that they clearly don't care.
