Because they love that logjam and needed to re-create now that Supernatural has moved to Wednesdays?
'Serenity'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I don't watch Supernatural (although maybe I'll start this summer), so it wasn't a logjam for me.
Huh, the new schedule is only going to have one conflict for me in a half hour block on Tuesday nights. Much better than I'd anticipated.
Grimm: do I take it Adalind has now taken over Juliet's body? Or am I reading too much into the change in eye color?
It could be just the black eyes of evil.
Korra! Aww, poor Asami.
I'm a bit worried about Lin going off the reservation, I must admit.
Yeah, that's troubling. I'm also kind of bothered by how sure Korra was about Sato. She turned out to be right, but she didn't have much reason to be so certain.
Not to mention I still feel kind of sympathetic to the equalists. I can see being a non bender in Republic City leading to some justifiable resentment.
"Not my Cabbage Corp" was pretty funny.

No, she didn't. Unless they're claiming that she's got some Avatar-related special senses, but I didn't see any evidence of that. I think she got lucky, and Mako was totally correct to challenge her on it.
I'm with you on sympathy for the equalists--at least the non-benders. I want to see a legitimate discussion about the roles of benders & non-benders in this society, and we are six episodes in and still haven't had it. If the Equalists are the Weather Underground, where's the SCLC? Or Bobby Kennedy? Who's arguing the moderate position? Just for starters, why aren't there any non-benders on the city council?
The Cabbage Corp thing was awesome: I loved the statue of the Cabbage Guy out front. Anyway, I wonder if that means Sato set up Cabbage Corp from the beginning, and they're not involved at all?
I'm not clear what the purpose of the car race was, other than to show off Asami's skills?
Oh, and Bolin has a lot to learn about treating servants. ::facepalm::
I wonder if that means Sato set up Cabbage Corp from the beginning, and they're not involved at all?
That was my assumption.
Yeah, there was a lot to be concerned about in this episode. I totally agree about the equalists, and it's clear there have been bender abuses, which is kinda unsurprising given human nature. So it's a reasonable response. And even Sato's proclivity toward the equalists was presented as having come from a past experience.
But in real life, that's how dictators get put in place too. They sound so reasonable at first.
