Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I found "The River" boring.

I shut it off after the first episode.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My brain hurts. I'm trying to work out how this is satire. Surely it is, because it's incredibly impossible:

An incredibly clever bit of occult cryptography was used in casting Annabeth Gish as Monica Reyes. First of all, the character's name recalls Monica Lewinsky's role as Nephthys in the Osirian farce known as the Clinton impeachment. ("what the meaning of Is is", indeed!)

I mean, sure, there's a disclaimer:

The Secret Sun deals with the power of the archetypes to tell their own stories, regardless of conscious intent.

But how far can you go sincerely?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

That would make Chris Carter's head hurt.

Oh, holy crossovers!

!!!

That's super cool! I've been off the comic books for a while (spendy!), but I may have to find a local store again.

Art Crawl!!!

Bryan Fuller's Munsters remake not on the table due to difficulties in casting.

Not completely nixed though.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm guessing Brad Garrett wanted more money?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Holy Crap! Does that mean there is now bleedthrough to Peter's universe?

There's something.

I think Olivia's situation has more to do with Nina's tampering than with Mr. Jones' device.

I don't even know what this show is doing to me.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Frank,

I was always under the assumption, that the universe he is in is his "own." That he really didn't have anywhere to go back to.

I think his presence is bringing people's "memories" back.

I was startled when there was a suggestion on the show that he needed to "go back" somewhere. I never did think that's what happened to him.
