ita, I totally agree.
I would immediately get out of the funeral business AND I would not dig. at all.
The digging part would be HARD (eyeroll) but I think I could manage not digging again ever.
'War Stories'
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I think that the fact that Duke can absorb people's blood suggests that he is troubled.
yes. his father said as much: his trouble is that he can relieve others of theirs down the family line.
What LeN said.
The ghosts (Tamoh and Rev) kept telling Duke that he was the one that could stop all of it, implying that he inherited Tamoh's curse of stopping the trouble from being inherited in other people by killing a troubled one. Kind of like the old legend of curing werewolves by killing the wolf that bit them.
That's why Duke had to kill grave digger boy so his baby wouldn't be born with it.
But then why did Duke's eyes turn blue? Thank God, they didn't stay that way. He could have more than one curse?
I need another season because I'm enjoying it to much for it to end.
yes. his father said as much: his trouble is that he can relieve others of theirs down the family line.
But, I thought that was just by way of killing off the genetic line...which a non-troubled person could do with all the weapons found in that silver box.
It seemed to me that Crocker the elder was saying that the curse was the calling.
At first, I assumed that the blood absorbing thing was based on the weapon, but I guess that wasn't the case in the forest with grave digging guy.
I'm confused and I miss Dwight.
Another season would be terrific.
I think that in order to stop the trouble in the family some of the blood needs to absorbed. Wouldn't it be a kick if the person does not need to die?

Me too, but he'll be back if there is another season right. Didn't he just go into the water but they didn't imply that he died. (I may have missed a later confirmation of his death)
But, I thought that was just by way of killing off the genetic line...
I don't think so. Otherwise grave digger guy killed himself by throwing himself on Duke's knife for nothing. Genetics had already been passed on. I think existing children would be saved if an ancestor with the curse is killed (by Duke with a special weapon).
On a side note, I had no idea that the actors playing the Teague brothers are 65 and 70. I'd not have guessed that.
They haven't been in this season nearly enough in my opinion, but they were good in last night's episode.
Moffat's a great big cheater. But I'll let him have this one.
Karen Gillian looked especially radiant in the time-stopped scenes. And sometimes I think callous execution is hot. Rory was all Rory, and River was very River. I liked her more this ep than most before.

ita pretty much sums up everything I felt about this episode (and it kinda sums up the season).
Not quite enough Rory IMO, but I may over identify there.
