Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

'Bushwhacked'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I'm confused and I miss Dwight.

Me too, but he'll be back if there is another season right. Didn't he just go into the water but they didn't imply that he died. (I may have missed a later confirmation of his death)

But, I thought that was just by way of killing off the genetic line...

I don't think so. Otherwise grave digger guy killed himself by throwing himself on Duke's knife for nothing. Genetics had already been passed on. I think existing children would be saved if an ancestor with the curse is killed (by Duke with a special weapon).

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

On a side note, I had no idea that the actors playing the Teague brothers are 65 and 70. I'd not have guessed that.

They haven't been in this season nearly enough in my opinion, but they were good in last night's episode.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Moffat's a great big cheater. But I'll let him have this one.

Karen Gillian looked especially radiant in the time-stopped scenes. And sometimes I think callous execution is hot. Rory was all Rory, and River was very River. I liked her more this ep than most before.

ita pretty much sums up everything I felt about this episode (and it kinda sums up the season).

Not quite enough Rory IMO, but I may over identify there.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

That was totally cheaty. But almost generally worth it for some of the character moments, like the horrified look on Amy's face when she realized her new relationship to the Doctor.

“Not dead yet!”

I seriously can't believe that Moffatt pulled a Bobby coming out of the shower.

And Rory continues to be pure love.

Yeah, cheater, but it's OK. Is there a centurion better than Rory Williams in the history of ever? I don't think so.

I would like, at some point, for the stakes not to be THE END OF ALL TIME. Just for variety.

Rory Williams is the best thing ever.

I don't think it was quite that bad, everything that happened still actually happened. But I really did want it to be more complicated a solution than that.
