Let me guess. We're in a hurry.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Olivia seems to be closer to where she was in Season 1, which I do buy. She hasn't had the friendship with Peter to lighten the load. It's all still memories of John Scott (who died from the transparency condition and not the car crash?!) and the weight of the job.

I agree, I totally bought this.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

And Olivia needed her load lightened. She was experimented on as a youth, her mother passed away, so both things really screwed her up.

What I found interesting though is that there was NO mention of her previous lover (from Season 1). Given that 3-4 years would have gone by since he died, I suppose I could understand it, but that really drove her the first season and I thought we might revisit that.

Wasn't that the partner she was talking about that died?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Who else would it be?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Melinda Clarke is hard-ass as Operations, but I'd love to see her go up against a Gina Torres character in some high-powered non-physical capacity. I think that would be glorious.

I was wondering if she could have been referring to Charlie, but I thought it was probably John.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I think she was talking about John. I also think that if not for meta reasons, they might have made Charlie alive in this timeline.

I've been thinking about that conversation between the Olivias. Our Olivia said she was kidnapped and Fauxlivia took her place. Kidnapped vs captured makes me think it was a Redverse incursion into the Blue, not the other way around. Who knows what all that could mean, but combine that with Lee never having met Olivia (or Bellivia) before and I've got to wonder if Bell is still alive and well in the Redverse.

I also wonder if Nina still has her hand.

It's hard to understand how the Yellowverse even works without Peter having existed. If Peter never existed, than Walter would never have breached the dimensional walls to begin with. So did he have a different reason?
