I gave her everything... jewels, beautiful dresses -- with beautiful girls in them.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

And Rory did completely 100% volunteer to wait for her. Amy definitely didn't sign up for 36 years of abandonment and running for her life from robots killing her with kindness.

Tommyrot, that's where it ended for me as well, and it seemed so abrupt I wondered if BBC America cut it off early?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I might be a better person than Amy Pond, but I'm not better than Rory, because I'd surely have gone "Honey? 2000 years? IJS."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Heh. I probably would, too. He really is a good guy.

I was much more confused by the time stream business and especially Future!Amy remembering not getting help from her Fiture!Amy than I usually am by timey-wimey shenangigans.

I feel like they gave a pretty decent explanation for that (or, as much as all the wibbly wobbly stuff ever gets explained) but Matt Smith was talking so damned fast I missed a lot of it.

Rory really is the most fantastic person.

I also really loved Amy's speech about some people being so beautiful when you first meet them, but then five minutes later they're dull as brick. Whereas other people are just OK, but as you get to know them their personality makes them beautiful.

Of course Rory also did the never having existed thing, too. He can't remember that, though, I hope.

"You're turning me into you" - Rory's said something similar to the Doctor before, hasn't he?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

The episode did end on the shot of the Doctor after Amy asked, "Where is she?"

The explanation, from what I can tell, is that Future!Amy metaphorically punched a hole in space-time.

I will accept that.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Am rewatching now. Future!Amy is awesome. She reminds me of Wishverse!Buffy, except she's a genius who made her own sonic screwdriver, hacked the Interface and reprogrammed some of the handbots.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Me too, zuisa. That really resonated with me.

Yeah, Future!Amy was fantastic. (Though I kind of wish they'd let her hair start going grey. I know it's pretty much impossible to convincingly age someone 36 years through makeup, but the lack of grey hair didn't help.)

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Matt Smith was talking so damned fast I missed a lot of it.

This happens with me pretty much every episode.
