Jimmy Olsen jokes're pretty much gonna be lost on you, huh?

Xander ,'The Killer In Me'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Vortex, the positive feelings, I think, are pretty obvious, but did she have to be the juvenile delinquent sociopath? I may be being over-sensitive. I was going to post being all "yay! precedent for open season on ethnicity for regenerations!" and then thought "well, but...bus-jacker."

All is well that ends in pizza.

jumper/sweater

I thought she said johdpurs, since she was All About Her Ass.

I think the Internets agree. Jodhpurs is what I heard also.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

but did she have to be the juvenile delinquent sociopath?

I thought nothing of it, her personality was consistent with River.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I think It made sense for River to have grown up being a delinquent. She has two forces inside of her at war. The awesomeness of Amy and Rory DNA, and her mission.

I wonder if the ethnicity was before or after the basic story was written. Mels ethnic makeup seems irrelevant to the plot.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Then I shall resolve to feel good about the casting choice, and say "yay! Time Lord(ish) diversity!"

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I was more weirded out about the retcon. Meet this new best friend we've never mentioned before!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'd love to see Chiwetel Ejiofor as The Doctor.

Who do we have to petition for this to happen? I mean SERIOUSLY!!!

I'd start a write-in campaign once it was clear Matt Smith was done.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yeah, that was a bit much. I'm surprised that we didn't get a reaction from Rory when he found out the baby's name.

"Really? Mels?"
"She's my best friend."
"Yeah, but..."
"What?"
"Not much of a role model."
"Maybe she'll rise to the occasion."

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I was more weirded out about the retcon. Meet this new best friend we've never mentioned before!

This.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I'm surprised that we didn't get a reaction from Rory when he found out the baby's name.

And that was only ONE EPISODE AGO. It's not like they didn't know they were doing this. Throw us a bone, guys.
