Every planet has its own weird customs. About a year before we met, I spent six weeks on a moon where the principal form of recreation was juggling geese. My hand to God. Baby geese. Goslings. They were juggled.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I still want to know how Lincoln knows Nick.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I've watched only 2 episodes of the US Being Human so far because i find the show rather uninteresting for the most part...except for excellent use of Psychadelic Furs' "Ghost in You" peppered throughout the second episode. I like that song. Now afeared to watch the third episode in case it is scored by the Beach Boys.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

erin,

I kind of think you should just skip to this week's episode. I watched the first 2 or 3 eps and dreaded watching any more, but I watched this week and liked it well enough.

good to know. I like the idea...it probably doesn't help that the actor who plays the protagonist vamp reminds me of a designer i strongly dislike. Plus he's all jaw-clenchy and sometimes just watching that sets off my tmj. But i like the wolf guy.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I mainlined the first 6 episodes of Fringe season 2. Man, this show is fun, if occasionally as gross as Bones in terms of being a show to watch during dinner. I'd watch for just the Walter and Astrid show, but there's so much fun stuff going on.

Poor Charlie. I'm sorry to see him go, but as much as I liked his (the real Charlie's) relationship with Olivia, it was kind of a one-note role. A great note, but not much room for development. I guess I should be thankful at least that they didn't have him pining after Olivia a la Will Tippen/Xander Harris. Plus, as the episode title says, there's two of everything, so I suspect this isn't the last we've seen of him in one form or another.

The only odd thing continuity-wise - I swear the last time Nina showed up she had two normal hands. It was a brief shot, and they never showed that hand again so I didn't confirm (guess I should have just backed up and checked - oh well).

They don't really try to make her hand look robotic unless they're showing the inner workings. She does wear fingerless gloves sometimes though.

I'm looking forward to your reaction to the last third of the season!

So have we seen the Doctor Who Children in Need special? It's pretty adorable.

Buffistas might like it a lot, I suspect.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I had NOT seen that, and I love it so much! Thanks for posting.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Adorable? I found it sexist.

I get your point, Shir.

Speaking only for myself, I have no high expectations from DW when it comes to feminism, although they do get a lot of points from me for River Song.
