Yeah, I don't know if I'm going to be able to keep watching The Walking Dead. It takes so much effort to yell at people for being stupid. This is ultimately my problem with zombie movies. Or really, any kind of horror.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
The new series of Misfits starts tonight.

That's why I stopped reading the comics. DH is still reading them and will give me the heads up when things start happening that don't make me want to punch all the characters, at which point I will start reading again.
Aw, that's love. I have no zombie opinions that I know of, though I'm sure I'd develop some if I watched/read more of the genre. I do love that Jonathan Coulton song, though.
I'm still annoyed by the lack of zombies-in-pop-culture. I thought it would go away, but it hasn't.
I need to write all this down.
Would you guys characterise Highlander as swords and sorcery? Given that it has a lot of the former and a bit of the latter? Is there present-day S&S?
Would you guys characterise Highlander as swords and sorcery?
I would. What Highlander lacks in creatures ala S&S, it makes up with multiple heroes' journeys.
Is there present-day S&S?
Lamentably no, in my experience. Though I feel compelled to give it a lot more thought.
I'm not sure why, but a scene from the last CSI:Miami episode I forced myself to watch comes forcefully to mind.
They used a 'sniffing' technology that helped them to recreate the design of a ring, including the 3 dimensional detail of a rose design...as I recall.
The sword they wielded is technology. The sorcery seems to be the spell they have cast to stay on the air by constantly insulting their viewers' intelligence.
Other than that, I've got nothing at the moment.
I haven't actually seen it, but what about Merlin? I'd figure that for both. If it's still on, that is.
Merlin's pretty historically inaccurate, but it's not set in the present day.
Heh. I parsed wrong. I thought you meant, present-day, is there an S & S show on. Not S & S set in present-day.
