A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Is this a good thread for this?
Nerdvana achieved: Summer Glau is the voice of Supergirl
Not content with winning every poll, decimating Reavers and seducing John Connor, Summer Glau will now be the voice of Supergirl in the direct-to-DVD movie Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, which adapts the second storyline of Jeph Loeb's run on the Superman/Batman comic.
That Orbital videao kind of just makes me want to relive my misspent youth and take a bunch of E. Is that Captain Jack's jacket he's wearing? Sexy loved up druggy music clothes swapping. Hmmm.
Shir: Aww, how can you say it didn't move you?! The Girl and I both *melted* over Rory looking after Amy-in-a-box for two millenia. There was laughter and pathos and remembering and River and a wedding and missing stars and a very cool TARDIS description and a continuing mystery and a Doctor who can't dance. Wonderful!
Ace was the most kick-ass companion ever. Arguments can be made for others, but think Ace wins.
Ace is great, but did she ever stand over her mortally wounded enemies and shout, "Enjoy your death, as I have enjoyed killing you!" the way Leela did?
Leela's awesome.
I can't really argue for why I think Sarah Jane is the best. It's the tone of her voice and the shape of her jaw and the flash in her eyes. I guess I'm just in love with her.
Leela did have a joie de vivre missing in other companions. Or whatever the French for joy of mayhem is.
Sarah Jane's always been my favorite too, but Leela, Donna, and Romana 1 rate pretty on my awesome meter. And I am one of the few that really liked Tegan.
According to babel fish the French for mayhem is mutilation.
And I am one of the few that really liked Tegan.
I've only caught a few of the fifth Doctor's adventures on netflix, but I LOVE Tegan. I actually find that with classic Who, whether or not I enjoy a story depends not so much on which Doctor it is, but which companion it is (and how the writing treats that companion).
